When we first began training the first group of youth athletes in Putnam United FC a year ago, we began with a group of players with various experience; all being new to competitive soccer. Even in that, we knew right away that this was a special group of kids – their work ethic was and continues to be phenomenal, they are engaged, easy to coach, and above all, play the game with high integrity and character. We have also had 9 PUFC players make their respective middle school teams and continue to grow their game.
Most recently, we have on-boarded a new group of players – 2016, 2015, 2014, and 2013 players in most. This includes a U8 (2015/2016) Boys squad that has been introduced to 7v7 play and continue to see growth in their technical skills sets and tactical understanding.
We are very excited in what we have seen in just a year in our competitive rosters – with some just a few months into their training. Good things are ahead…
